Vous lisez : The Ordre des conseillers en ressources humaines agréés announces the winners of the 360 Tournament

After a competition featuring eight teams from seven Quebec universities, the team from HEC Montréal earned top honours in the second 360 Tournament organized by the Ordre des conseillers en ressources humaines agréés.

The only university competition organized by practitioners in the field, the 360 Tournament gives future HR and IR professionals the chance to match wits in a high-level competition. Open to all Quebec universities offering a human resources or industrial relations program, the 360 Tournament provides a unique occasion for participants to be evaluated by a team of six senior HR executives. The Tournament brings together students, academics and business people from the four corners of Quebec.

“The 360 Tournament is an opportunity for students to test their knowledge and come into contact with the real working world. It’s also an occasion for the Ordre to promote the potential of future HR and IR professionals among employers,” explained Florent Francoeur, CHRP, Ordre President and CEO.

And the Public’s Choices are…
Ordre members (CHRPs and CIRCs) were invited to vote for their favourite among the three teams that earned the best marks for each of the first two events. After over 3000 views, the Public’s Choice Award was presented to the second team from UQAM’s École des sciences de la gestion, made up of Valérie Beaulac, Valérie Lamarche, Catherine Lavoie, Geneviève Lebel-Rochefort, Geneviève Meunier, and coached by Daniel Beaupré. As sponsor of this award, the Vézina Nadeau Labre team will host the Award’s recipients for a coaching program on developing leadership skills a value of $10,000.

Special thanks to…
The Ordre would like to extend sincere thanks to the committee responsible for drafting the cases and the six jury members, without whom a competition of this stature would not have been possible. A very special thank you to Keurig Canada, and to the Human Resources team at Van Houtte Coffee Services Inc. who has submit a situation that had actually occurred within their organization for the students to analyze in the final event. Lastly, we would also like to highlight the participation of Normandin Beaudry as supporter sponsor of the 360 Tournament.

The 360 Tournament enables the Ordre des conseillers en ressources humaines agréés to showcase the dynamic energy of the upcoming generation of HR and IR professionals in Quebec. “The level of participation and the quality of the analyses and presentations in this Tournament clearly signal ‘mission accomplished’,” concluded Francoeur.
