Videos of four experts online on the Ordre’s portal
Although the construction holidays are over, the summer is still in full swing, which means a slowdown in tempo for many workplaces. During this period, when café terraces are packed and motivation levels are low, the Ordre des conseillers en ressources humaines agréés takes a closer look at the question and offers some recommendations from authorities in the field. Providing tips on effective management practices for this period, these video clips are now available free of charge online.
“It’s no secret that it’s harder for workers to stay motivated in the summer and productivity is affected. The message we’d like to get across with these clips is that it’s important for organizations to make sure their troops are still motivated and happy despite this slowdown. According to these experts, managers can adopt certain practices and relax others in the summer months without creating a precedent. That way, their employees will be at the top of their game when everyone is back at work,” explains Florent Francoeur, CHRP, Ordre President and CEO.
The following four HR professionals give concrete examples of measures that can be introduced:
- Julie Carignan, CHRP, Organizational Psychologist and Partner, Société Pierre Boucher (SPB)
- Pascale Bouchard, CHRP, Founding President, Nexa
- Jacques Forest, CHRP, Ph. D., Professor and Researcher, Département d’organisation et ressources humaines, Université du Québec à Montréal
- Catherine Privé, CHRP, President and Partner, Alia Consulting Inc.
